LAST MEETING OF THE SEMESTER RECAP: 12/05/06

Activities:

KATRINA RELIEF BAZAAR: Check your shifts on the schedule Pierre e-mailed this afternoon. We will be setting up tomorrow from 8 am - 6PM, and the actual sale will be on Thursday from 10:30 am - 8 PM. We will need cars. If anyone has a truck we can use to move larger items from the sale please contact Pierre. In fact, if you have any questions or if you want to help out with the bazaar -- e-mail pfont1@swarthmore.edu.

SATURDAY OF SERVICE: Activities Fair!
Two shifts:
Leaving campus 10am, eating lunch at the Freeman Cultural Arts Center and returning to campus at 1:45pm
Leaving campus at 1:30pm, eating dinner at the Center and returning to campus at 5:15pm

To reserve your spot on the van, campus mail your Hold Harmless Form to Teresa Kelley '07. Questions? E-mail tkelley1@swarthmore.edu

News:
Last Thursday-- Board Meeting for the Rotary Club of Swarthmore:
The club made a motion to donate $1500 to Amigos de Guatemala. This group is affiliated with 11 partner clubs that contribute $1000-2000 per year. All of the money donated by Rotary Clubs goes toward the people and projects in Guatemala.

Academic-Year Ambassadorial Scholarships: Awarded for one academic year of study abroad
Multi-Year Ambassadorial Scholarships: Awarded for two years of specific degree-oriented study abroad
Cultual Ambassadorial Scholarships: Awarded for three or six months of intensive language study and cultural immersion abroad.

Alright, hang in there during finals everyone. We haven't decided on our first meeting time for next semester yet, but until then, start thinking about the activities you would like to do. We will definitely contact Habitat for Humanity in Chester, and Pierre will see if we can volunteer at the Hunger Walk in Philadelphia.

Come to the Bazaar, and don't forget to make it to your shifts.
